The BT Visit London Awards show off the works of Walter Raes

The Visit London awards, which celebrate the greatest elements of London, celebrated the works of Walter Raes. As the great and good of London entered the Big Top venue in Bloomsbury they were greeted by six models on plinths wearing some of Walter’s brilliant designs. For over an hour guests mingled beneath the models displaying Walter’s Wearable Art looking up in amazement at the ingenious works.

Through out the evening models wearing Walters designs handed out the awards to the best of London and posed for photographs. Originally the models were only going to hand out the top six awards; however their popularity at the event was so great that they were asked to hand out all the awards. This called for several changes for all of the models. All the winners, from the best hotel in London right down to the best personalities, Twiggy were greeted and photographed with one of Walter’s designs.

By the end of the night Walters work had made such an impact on the event that he was asked if he would do it again for next years awards!!!
